This is a vintage Ezra Brooks Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey decanter shaped like a classic steam locomotive engine and tender, believed to date from the late 1960s. Made of “Genuine Heritage China” (marked on the cab roof), the piece is finished in glossy black with red wheel and trim accents and gold luster detailing on the bell, domes, sand boxes, and headlamp. The original paper label on the cab reads “Ezra Brooks 12 Years Old, 4/5 Quart - 90 Proof - Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey, Bottled by Ezra Brooks Distilling Co., Frankfort, KY.” The smokestack serves as the bottle’s pour spout/neck. This decanter is empty (no contents, no seal) and sold as a collectible display piece only.
Measures approximately 10” long x 8” tall. Condition shows light wear to the gold accents consistent with age, with no chips or cracks noted. Label residue still on the top. The unglazed base shows no clear manufacturer date stamp, so the circa-1969 dating reflects comparison to similar listed examples rather than a confirmed mark. A great addition to any whiskey decanter, train, or railroad memorabilia collection.
